Text to Danny: “8hrs at Wild Animal Park. Ran stairs while waiting. 5 burpees & pushed stroller w/ 3 kids up all the hills & can still be going… it’s the Energizer Bunny… this rocks! Thanks!” -”Awwww! You are awesome”
Our stroller is a pain because the front tire does not turn so in order to turn the stroller you must press down on the handle bar, lifting the front tire off the ground, and then pivot. The bonus to this is a great arm/tricep workout, especially when there is a lot of maneuvering due to crowds; it’s easier just to keep the front wheel up, meaning A LOT more work.
We found a way to fit Ryan in the stroller with the other two kiddos, making that much more work. :oD I pushed them down the hills, up the hills and all around the hills. I feel like a Dr. Suess book (only not as well written). If you have ever been to the Park you know what a workout those hills are. If not, then you should go. The hills are not small by any means, they are long and a few quite steep. Going down them can even scare you, ha. I was proud of myself. Everyone kept offering to take over but I wouldn’t let them. Believe it or not, I was loving it!
While waiting, on a set of bleachers, for some undisclosed children to use the bathroom I decided to run the bleachers. Why waste time sitting? It was actually fun. I’m not sure how many times I ran them but I wasn’t tired and it felt good.
By the end of the Park day I still felt great! Continuing with the theme of Burpees Around the World Emily joined me, to finish out the day, by doing burpees in front of The San Diego’s Wild Animal Park. I have the BEST daughter!! B-5 Gal. :oD
As we left I noticed an orchard where you could go pick your own organic oranges. Only $10 a bag. Talk about the best oranges ever. You know it’s a good orange when you can’t contain the juice. :oD We will be stopping there again.
Great Day!
