What Doesn't Kill Us Makes Us Stronger - Challenging Food

This will be a very challenging week for me because of the food. These last 2 weeks are suppose to be no carbs (except one high carb day) while manipulating fats. However, the last week I still haven't felt well. For many days I couldn't eat and then this week when I could eat I ate what I could get down (and lots of salad and asparagus was not on the menu). I still ate pretty well but not exactly what I should be having for the week.

From the beginning food has been challenging. I fought it for a long time. I did NOT like being told what I had to eat. Danny was very patient (while still trying to push me) and waited for me to be ready to challenge myself. Ready for me to change and give in, fully accepting her help and accepting what I had to do. This "readiness" happened twice for me. Once before the competition began and once again, more fully, in March (I remember journaling it).

Now, I have another challenge. This week is ALL about self control. It will make me or break me. If I can make it through this I can make it through anything. I WILL MAKE IT. Bring it ON!..... Now time to go eat.

HAVE FUN! & Make this week ROCK!

Some days I eat because I'm supposed to, and other days I eat because I want to, even though it's the same thing. When I start feeling like I don't want another b/s chicken breast, I just try to remember why I'm eating them and then just power it down. Instant gratification has taken a pretty big hit around here lately. Hang in there - it'll get better

no crazy stuff like counting carbs calories, you know what is good for you, te weight and bf will keep coming off long after this is over, only your body can tell you what to do, you have the tools and resources to get it done!

Well, I am going to give you my 2 cents...whether you like it or not. I am a firm believer that you should eat today like you would in in 5 years from now. No crazy carb restrictions or calorie counting. Slow and steady. It took us all years to get in horrible shape and become way overweight. We can't correct it in just 2 weeks of not eating carbs or even 5 months during a contest. Do what your body tells you is right. If you keep getting sick and you are dreading a 2 weeks eating program then why do it? You will simply put back on the weight when you go back to eating a normal healthy diet after this contest. You have worked so hard and look so good. I just want what is best for you and everyone here at MM Formation. Cause I care :)

I concur with this... practice makes perfect.

I won't give you the ol' "you'll do great!" line, 'cause it will be hard. You say it will be hard for you which means it will. Just keep in mind how great you will feel knowing that YOU were in control. you may have a slip up here and there, but for the most part, YOU should be in control and I believe, if you want it, you WIL be able to do it!!!! Now you'll have to be good or you'll have to answer to me!!!!
