Why Couldn't the Cow Run Across the Street?

Because he was too fat. -My son.

What a joke, lol. So not the subject we need to bring up right now. lol
I cannot think of good titles lately so I thought I would use some of my kids jokes. This is one my son just made up. We all need some comical relief right now. :oD

"Experience is something you get just after you need it." -Around the Horn. I want to share my experience (sorry it's long)....

Ok so I had a long talk/cry session with my husband last night. He thinks that something more is going on because I am so emotional lately. Three years ago I had to have a full hysterectomy. I have been on the estrogen patch ever since. Normally, it's been okay but every now and then I will get a 'bad batch' of patches. FDA regulation allows a very minimal % differential in the potency. If you are very sensitive, like me, it can effect you. I can usually tell when it's hormones effecting me but this time it's subtle. Looking back I wonder if this is what is going on. I have been crying at the gym, headaches, nauseated with meals, and now this.

Talked with Danny while training today. She could tell something was wrong too. She thinks it very well could be hormones and needing to adjust them. Diabetics losing only 10% body fat can come off there meds! Medication dosages, based on size and body weight, muscle etc.., will be different between say a 220lb male and a 130lb female. With me having lost 50lb and a lot of that body fat, am a different person and may need a different dosage now.... I never thought of that. After talking with my husband, since he is the one who has to deal with me, lol, I may start playing with the dosages and see what happens. Danny thinks that perhaps this is my I haven't lost weight like I should.

Another thought came while talking with my mom. As a youth, I was put on an all hormone/antibiotic free meats. No sugar or white flour or dairy. After testing we found I was so sensitive to everything that that was the reason I didn't like grocery shopping because it caused headaches.
Before I was married I had to quit a retail job because I was reacting to the formaldehyde (mimics female hormones) which they spray the clothes with to keep bugs off. This led to my last emergency surgery.

This may sound like a bunch of crock but we (mostly my mom) have studied this subject so much over the countless years (all because of my health history which I won't get into). I am so grateful to Jillian Michaels and all the research, publicity and light she has brought to this subject. The effects that the hormones and antibiotics have on our dairy & meats is astounding! She is talking about everything we learned earlier. Now we can teach/share with others and not sound like wackos haha.
That being said, I wonder with the increase of meats & eggs I am consuming if I am getting too much in my system: estrogen, hormones, etc.. and that it has just built up inside and is effecting me, now.

Overview, this contest is hard but more is going on with me. I will now be changing my meats & eggs to all organic, hormone/antibiotic free. See what happens... Try adjusting my patch, with my husband's blessing :oD. See what happens.... If none of that works, I will re-evaluate it then but, I feel like I won't have to get to this point. It will only get better from here.

All in All.... Thank you to everyone who kept me going, even if dragging me lol.
I knew this "done" feeling was going to come again at some point. I've had it once before and knew I would NEVER GIVE UP! I would endure to the end, HAVE FUN and hopefully help others along the way!!
I have been thru so much and come out the other side. I have learned so much and have so much to share. But even the best of us fall once in a while; it is those times that we learn the importance of having a great support system in place. You, my MM family, are my support system! I thank you!!
Now LET'S KICK IT UP AND MAX IT OUT IN THE GYM!!!!

Hugs to you Rach!! Have you read Suzanne Somer's stuff? She talks A LOT about this. I go to a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (vice an MD) at Dr. Jonathan Wright's clinic. He's the pioneer of the natural hormone replacement therapy. They have been GREAT for me and an ND seems to take such a holistic approach to your issues, instead of just trying to "plug the whole in the dam" approach. Do you see an ND or OB/GYN MD?

I am totally with you on the allergies and toxins thing. I really messes some people up! If you go to an ND he/she can help you with tests to determine what is happening and different ways to fix it.

    Good luck, Friend! xoxo

Women seem to have more complex issues than men. I know how you are feeling. Just a suggestion, look into Arbonne and their balancing cream. You just rub it on your skin for the hormonal issues and it's all natural. Keep digging and you will find your answers, we are all here for you.

I'm glad you're able to figure out what may be wrong. And one of my guily pleasures is Suzanne Somers. She's also all about hormones and eating naturally and putting the least amount of chemicals in your body. I beleive there's no way all this stuff we put in our bodies and on our food supply hasn't affected us in some way. I mean, who heard of peanut allergies when they were growing up. Now it's EVERYWHERE!! Keep working on what's causing you issues. I'm sure you'll figure it out. Keep us posted!

You are definitely going through your share of struggles. The important thing is never giving up; keep moving forward no matter how long it takes you are going in the right direction.

Ooooh Rachel, I am walking some of your pathway! Finding just how severely lactose intolerant, not being able to do specific food combinations w/carbs & grains, and fruit & refined sugar w/in 6 hrs of each other. I was told to cut out grains and all nightshade veggies to help w/my thyroid. Then got told that if the dead critters I eat at grains...well oof yeah...it's certainly enough to drive you batty. But I feel so much better when I follow it. Keep your head up!! The knowledge that you have on what makes your body a well oiled machine is priceless!! I love the crazy kid jokes!! Lil' Man tells me thousands every day w/accompanying SONGS!
